Derek McInnes' first match as Rangers manager saw his side secure a 1-1 draw against Dundee United. Thelo Aasgaard netted the equaliser for Rangers, earning them a point at Tannadice.
Dundee United took the lead in the 38th minute with Lachlan Rose scoring the first goal of the Premiership season. Rangers, who had lacked control in the first half, appeared more threatening after the break.
Aasgaard levelled the score in the 56th minute with a left-foot strike from 16 yards. Despite the equaliser, Rangers could not maintain their momentum, and Dundee United had a late chance to win the game through Jesse Randall.
New Rangers captain Lawrence Shankland made his debut, alongside Ivor Pandur, Ben Godfrey, and Cammy Devlin. Youssef Chermiti was named on the bench, while Ryan Naderi started in attack.
