Rangers have strengthened their midfield with the signing of promising Serbian midfielder Vanja Dragojevic from Partizan Belgrade. The 20-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Scottish Premiership club, with the option for a further year.
Dragojevic, who has two caps for his country, captained Partizan after rising through their youth ranks. He has shown significant potential, boasting the character to perform in a high-pressure environment.
Rangers manager Derek McInnes expressed his excitement about the signing, stating, 'He's got huge potential, really exciting attributes, and boasts the character to play in this environment.'
Dragojevic joined Partizan's youth system in 2021 and quickly made his mark, signing a professional contract two years later. He was loaned to Teleoptik and made his first-team debut for Partizan in March last year. The young midfielder became a regular starter and captain last season, scoring four times in 41 appearances while providing four assists.
Dragojevic has also made an impact on the international stage, making his debut as a second-half substitute in a World Cup warm-up match against Cape Verde. He has also started in a 5-1 thrashing by tournament co-hosts Mexico.
