A reader has shared details of a memorable train journey from Runcorn to London Euston in 2008. During the trip, passengers were surprised by celebrity impersonations made over the train's intercom system.

As the train approached Birmingham, announcements were reportedly made in the voice of Ozzy Osbourne. Later, details for the buffet car were given in the style of former US president George W Bush, and platform information for Euston was delivered impersonating Boris Johnson, who was then Mayor of London.

It was revealed that Jon Culshaw of the BBC Radio 4 show Dead Ringers, who reportedly travelled the route regularly, was responsible for the impersonations. The train guard had apparently been passing the microphone to him to entertain passengers.
