Fitness influencer and reality TV star Sam Wood has been charged in Queensland with domestic violence offences. Police confirmed they arrested a 46-year-old Victorian man and charged him after an alleged incident on Saturday night.
Mr Wood was charged on Sunday and spent the weekend in police custody. Police said he has been charged with assaulting occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence) and strangulation in a domestic setting.
Officers attended a Noosa address about 9pm on Saturday night after receiving reports of alleged domestic violence. Mr Wood was refused bail and was expected to appear in Maroochydore magistrates court on Monday.
A statement posted on Monday morning to Mr Wood’s personal Instagram account and that of his wife, Snezana Wood, said: “This is a difficult time for all of us, we are working through this as a family and are thoroughly co-operating with authorities.”
