Gloucester-Hartpury wing Mia Venner and Exeter scrum-half Flo Robinson have been awarded full-time England contracts for the first time. They are part of a group of 32 players receiving deals for the 2026-27 season.

Venner, who debuted for England in 2020, secured her second cap in the 2025 Six Nations and was part of the squad that won an eighth consecutive Six Nations title this year. Robinson, also 24, will provide specialist scrum-half cover.

Lilli Ives Campion, who became England's most experienced second row during the Six Nations due to injuries, has also received her first full-time contract. Additionally, six players, including teenager Demelza Short, have been awarded transition contracts.

The contracted squad includes players due to give birth later this year, such as Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan, as well as Lark Atkin-Davies, who welcomed a daughter in June. Marlie Packer, Natasha Hunt, and Alex Matthews are among the veterans from the 2014 and 2025 World Cup triumphs.

Charlie Hayter, England Rugby's head of women's performance, stated that the announcement recognises a group of competitive and committed players who drive standards and represent the team's values.

Why this matters: The announcement of these contracts outlines the professional structure for England's women's rugby team for the upcoming season, indicating the players who will form the core of the squad.
