Republic of Ireland's scheduled Saturday morning media duties and training session were delayed ahead of their Nations League match against Israel in Debrecen, Hungary. Manager Heimir Hallgrimsson and a player were initially set to speak to journalists at 10:15 am local time.

A UEFA official announced approximately 15 minutes prior that the press conference was moved to 12:30 pm local time, following training. The squad was subsequently confirmed to be 20 minutes late for their 11 am practice, and had not arrived at the Nagyerdei Stadium shortly before 12 pm local time.

UEFA officials could not explain the reason for the delay. The team had previously held a meeting on Friday to discuss matters, amid reports of a potential player statement before the press conference.
