Richarlison omitted from Tottenham's Premier League squad

Tottenham have excluded striker Richarlison from their Premier League squad, with the 29-year-old reportedly not part of the club's plans for the season.

  • Richarlison was informed of his omission before Tuesday's Premier League transfer window deadline.
  • Proposed talks for Richarlison to return to Everton broke down.
  • Spurs manager Roberto de Zerbi stated Richarlison was left out of a recent match squad because "too many times he asked to leave."

Tottenham have made the significant decision to omit Richarlison from their Premier League squad, with the striker reportedly not featuring in the club's plans for the current season. The 29-year-old Brazilian was informed of this decision prior to Tuesday's Premier League transfer window deadline.

This development follows the breakdown of proposed talks that could have seen Richarlison return to his former club, Everton. Following these discussions, Richarlison posted an emotional statement on social media, asserting that "never again will anyone decide my future for me." He also stated, "If they reach an agreement between Spurs and Everton, I will return to my beloved club."

Spurs manager Roberto de Zerbi previously indicated that Richarlison was left out of the squad for their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle because he "too many times he asked to leave." With transfer windows for Turkish and Saudi Arabian clubs still open, a move away for Richarlison is considered likely.
