A competitor has died after a crash involving two riders during a qualifying session for the Manx Grand Prix on the Isle of Man. The incident, which led to the session being red-flagged, occurred at approximately 18:50 BST on Tuesday evening at Cruickshanks, in Ramsey.

Organisers confirmed the fatality and stated that the other competitor involved suffered minor injuries and is being treated at Noble's, the island's main hospital. The names of the riders have not been released.

A multi-agency investigation is now underway, in line with the event's standard operating procedures. The road between Ramsey Bus Station and Lheaney Road remained closed for over three hours following the crash.

Tuesday marked the second day of qualifying for the 2026 Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT, after Monday's sessions were cancelled due to rain. Sunday's opening session was also cut short following a separate red-flag incident and deteriorating weather conditions.
