Forest Green Rovers have confirmed that manager Robbie Savage has been given permission to speak to another club. This development comes amid speculation linking Savage to the vacant managerial position at Peterborough United.
The National League side also stated that Savage will not be present in the dugout for their home game against Wealdstone on Tuesday night. Savage, who previously managed non-league Macclesfield Town, was appointed at Forest Green on 1 July 2025.
Last season, the 51-year-old guided Forest Green to seventh in the table, though they were defeated in the play-off eliminators. This season, after 10 matches, the team sits 12th with four wins, two draws, and four defeats. Peterborough United are currently 23rd in League One, having secured just one win in eight league games, and are seeking a new manager after Luke Williams was sacked on 19 September.
