Roc Nation Sports, an offshoot of Jay-Z's entertainment company, is making its presence felt in the European football transfer market. The agency, established in 2008, has over 100 players on its books, including prominent names like Vinícius Júnior and Yan Diomande.
Vinícius Júnior, the Brazil forward, recently signed a new contract with Real Madrid, believed to be worth around €25m. This agreement followed negotiations where RNSI had reportedly aimed for a €30m annual salary for the player.
In another significant move, 19-year-old Yan Diomande completed a record £115m transfer from RB Leipzig to Real Madrid, signing a seven-year deal. RNSI is reported to have received up to £17m in commission and fees for this transfer. Diomande's move has faced legal challenges from Max Gradel's agency and the Rainbow World Group, though Fifa did not block the transfer.
RNSI has also expanded its focus on African talent, signing eight young African stars in November, including Joseph Narbi and Francis Gomez. This expansion follows the acquisition of Brazilian agents TFM in July 2023, which was renamed Roc Nation Sports Brazil.
