International club operator Rocket Padel has raised €8m (£6.8m) as it moves forward with plans to open two new sites in West London and East Croydon. The funding round values the business, which operates five clubs in Denmark, four in the UK, and is constructing its first in Spain, at an undisclosed eight-figure sum.
Rocket Padel states that the UK is its largest growth market, noting that its Battersea Power Station club is 95 per cent booked. The company is actively seeking additional sites in London and other areas.
The East Croydon club, located near the station and Boxpark, is scheduled to open in early 2027 and will feature nine courts, a cafe, bar, and flexible social spaces. The Shepherds Bush site, situated in a former film studio, will include 11 courts, golf simulator pods, and food and drink facilities.
Chairman and lead investor Morten Bugge stated that the funding provides the capacity to invest in larger destinations and build on operating experience. Co-founder Sebastian Gordon added that the opportunity extends beyond court time, with coaching, food, drinks, and events contributing to the experience and business.
