Ross Smith has claimed his first World Series of Darts Finals crown, triumphing over Gerwyn Price with an 11-5 victory in Amsterdam. Smith delivered a commanding performance in the final, winning six consecutive legs from a 5-5 deadlock and finishing with an average of 103.89.
Earlier in the tournament, Luke Littler's ambitious bid to achieve a clean sweep of all 10 major televised tournaments in a calendar year was halted. The 19-year-old, who had won the first five, was beaten 10-4 by Jonny Clayton in the quarter-finals.
Clayton, who had levelled his match against Littler at 3-3 with a 136 checkout, went on to face Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals, where Price secured an 11-7 win. Smith's path to the final included an 11-8 semi-final victory over Gian van Veen and a 10-7 quarter-final win against Josh Rock.
