Roxette's 40th anniversary North American tour has been cancelled by Live Nation, according to the band. The Swedish pop-rock group stated that all US and Canada dates were axed late last month, with ticketholders receiving refunds.

The band's social media attributed the cancellation to "logistics and hugely increased touring costs." Co-frontman Per Gessle later clarified that the decision was made by Live Nation USA, likely based on their own calculations, expressing disappointment.

The tour was set to begin on September 10 in Clarkston, Michigan, and conclude on October 9 in Washington. It was planned as a triple bill featuring Roxette, Nick Lowe, and Taylor Dayne.
