San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio, on Sunday and subsequently pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.
Court records indicate that York was initially charged with engaging in prostitution, but prosecutors later amended this charge to disorderly conduct. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
York was sentenced to one day in jail for the misdemeanor charges, receiving credit for time served when he entered his plea on Monday morning. He was also issued a fine of $1,150. As part of a plea agreement, a seized cellphone was returned to York, and $160 was given to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. York also completed an online course.
The 46-year-old became the principal owner of the 49ers in 2024, having taken over day-to-day control from his parents in 2008. Neither the 49ers nor the NFL have immediately commented on the arrest.
