Several international sporting events in Saudi Arabia have been postponed or cancelled. Next month's cycling urban world championship in Riyadh has been cancelled, while the Fifa esports World Cup, which was due to begin on Friday, has been postponed.
Additionally, the Six Kings Slam tennis event, originally scheduled for next week, has been pushed back to late December. Golf's Asian Tour has also indefinitely postponed next month's Saudi International.
These changes follow a delay to Monday night’s Asian Champions League Elite game between Al-Nassr and Neftchi Fergana due to a threat of missile attacks.
