The Rockets faced an uphill battle after a slow start, finding themselves at 10-3 after 25 balls, marking the lowest powerplay score in the women's tournament's history. However, they rallied to chase down the target of 118 with two balls remaining.
Ash Gardner laid a strong foundation with 37 runs off 24 balls on a challenging pitch. Sciver-Brunt, batting lower down the order at number seven, then took charge, scoring 32 off 19 balls. She explained her decision to bat lower was to give teammates an opportunity and manage a calf injury.
The victory ensures the Rockets finished atop the standings with 28 points and seven wins from eight group games. Sciver-Brunt expressed her anticipation for the final at Lord's, stating, "We wanted to top the table and now we are looking forward to the final at Lord's."
Southern Brave, who finished second, will now await the outcome of Tuesday's match between Manchester Super Giants and Sunrisers Leeds to determine their opponent in the Eliminator.
