Host nation Scotland secured eight medals within five hours on Wednesday, including two golds, at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. This brings their total medal count to 23 as the Games pass the halfway mark.
Swimmers Angharad Evans and Keanna MacInnes both earned an individual medal and a relay prize, with Toni Shaw also achieving success in the pool. Melanie Woods claimed gold on the track, and Steven MacKenzie secured a bronze medal in the field.
Both the men's 3x3 basketball team and the women's wheelchair equivalents also reached the podium. Scotland's current tally stands at nine gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals, marking their best single-day return since the Birmingham Games in 2022.
