Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay has returned to training with Napoli after undergoing heart surgery last month. The 29-year-old had an ablation procedure in Manchester to correct irregular heart rhythms, which Napoli described as "a complete success".
On Wednesday, McTominay underwent further diagnostic tests, which confirmed he is fit to play. He has now rejoined team training after a period of separate training.
A mild benign arrhythmia was discovered in August after McTominay was substituted during Napoli's Serie A defeat by Como. An arrhythmia is when the heart beats too quickly, too slowly, or unsteadily.
During his recovery, McTominay missed four Scotland international matches, including the recent Nations League defeat by Slovenia.
