Scottish teenage brothers Olly and Seb Fisher are in line to play international football for Uganda, a move that could make them the first white players to represent the African nation. The Partick Thistle duo's eligibility stems from their mother, Kate, who was born in Uganda.
Olly, 18, and Seb, 16, became aware of Uganda's interest approximately six months ago. They were invited to under-20 and under-17s training camps at the beginning of August 2026, spending a week in Jinja and planning to stay for another.
Coach Laryea Kingston, who leads Uganda's under-20s, reportedly believes the brothers are on the verge of making history. Seb Fisher stated, "Coach Kingston was saying we'd be the first white boys to play for Uganda, which would be history in the making."
Olly hopes to join the Under-20's Africa Cup of Nations squad if they qualify early next year, while Seb could be part of the Under-17 squad for the World Cup in Qatar in November.
