A major sea search for a 14-year-old boy who went missing at Marloes Sands beach in Pembrokeshire has been called off after two days, according to the Coastguard.
HM Coastguard received a report at approximately 15:30 BST on Sunday that three people were in difficulty in the water. While two managed to self-rescue, the teenage boy could not be found.
The search was suspended at 19:30 BST on Monday evening, with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency confirming to the BBC that there are currently no plans to resume operations. Angle Lifeboat RNLI stated its crew worked for 22 hours at sea during the multi-agency effort.
Despite an extensive search involving coastguard rescue teams, RNLI lifeboats, a coastguard helicopter, a fixed-wing aircraft, and the Welsh Ambulance Service, no sign of the missing person was found.
