Euan Hutton, the Chief Executive Officer of Sellafield Ltd, has announced he will leave his role in July 2027. Mr Hutton, who first joined Sellafield in October 1991, stated he intends to pursue a non-executive career and dedicate more time to his family.
Chris Train, Chair of Sellafield Ltd, thanked Mr Hutton for his contributions over many years, particularly during his three years as CEO. David Peattie, CEO of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), also acknowledged Mr Hutton's significant impact across the NDA Group.
The announcement has been made to allow sufficient time for a successor to be found and for an appropriate handover period. A formal search process will now be launched to identify the next Chief Executive Officer for Sellafield Ltd.
