Serena and Venus Williams are set to team up again at the US Open. The sisters received a wild card on Wednesday to play in the doubles tournament, an event they have won twice previously.
Their last appearance together in doubles at the US Open was in 2022, where they were defeated in the first round. The Williams sisters have a record of 27-7 across their nine appearances in the tournament, securing titles in 1999 and 2009.
Serena Williams, 44, returned to tennis this summer following a four-year break. She recently played mixed doubles with Carlos Alcaraz on Tuesday, winning one match before exiting in the quarter-finals. Venus Williams, 46, is also entered in the women’s singles event.
