A 22-year-old British national, arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts in connection with an incident close to RAF Fairford, has been released on bail. The man was arrested on Tuesday in Westminster, London, under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
His arrest was part of a counter-terror police investigation into an incident near the Gloucestershire airbase on 27 September. In total, seven men, all in their 20s, have been arrested in connection with the incident. No one has been charged.
