EastEnders actor Shane Richie has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding. Court records show that the 62-year-old, whose real name is Shane Roche, received the driving ban on 23 September after admitting the offence.

He was also fined £500 at Guildford Magistrates' Court and ordered to pay £320 in costs and a surcharge. Richie entered a guilty plea in writing for the speeding offence, and his case was handled privately through the Single Justice Procedure.

Richie is also awaiting trial for a separate alleged drink-driving offence in Harlow, Essex, which he denies. That trial is scheduled for 17 November 2027 at Colchester Magistrates' Court.
