Lawrence Shankland delivered a decisive performance for Rangers, netting two goals in their 2-1 Scottish Premiership win against Falkirk. This result marks the Ibrox side's second consecutive victory, following a penalty from Shankland that secured their first win at Pittodrie just days prior.

Shankland, who joined Rangers in May after scoring 60 goals in his last three seasons at Hearts, now has three goals in four Premiership games this term. Manager Derek McInnes praised the striker's composure, stating it was "a proper captain's performance out there tonight."

In other team news, midfielder Nicolas Raskin returned to action for Rangers, starting against Falkirk. His return comes after he missed the previous two matches amid speculation linking him with a move away from Glasgow, with Rangers reportedly rejecting a loan bid from Besiktas earlier in the day. McInnes expressed his hope that Raskin will remain with the club beyond Thursday's transfer deadline.

Rangers also accepted a £1m loan offer from Anderlecht for Norway midfielder Thelo Aasgaard. The club has signed 12 players this summer, with another, Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers, expected to join.
