Luxury cruise operator Silversea has announced a new series of golf-centric voyages, providing passengers with the opportunity to play on some of the world's most renowned tournament courses. The initiative, in collaboration with golf travel specialist PerryGolf, aims to combine high-end cruising with access to elite golfing experiences, including venues that have hosted The Open Championship and future Ryder Cup sites.
These exclusive sailings will ensure guaranteed tee times for guests, alongside comprehensive equipment care and the inclusion of green fees within the cruise fare. Passengers will have the option to bring their own golf clubs, which PerryGolf will manage throughout the journey, or utilise rental equipment provided.
Among the highlighted itineraries is an 11-night British Isles roundtrip departing from Southampton on 14 August 2027 aboard the Silver Spirit. This voyage includes rounds at Royal Liverpool, a venue that has hosted The Open Championship thirteen times, and Prince’s Golf Club in Kent. The journey continues to Northern Ireland for Portstewart, concluding in Scotland with visits to Castle Stuart and Dumbarnie Links.
For those seeking warmer climes, an eight-night Mediterranean option departs from Barcelona on 25 October 2027 on the Silver Ray. This itinerary features golfing at Las Colinas on Spain's southeastern coast, followed by rounds at Son Gual and Alcanada in Mallorca.
Beyond European shores, Silversea will offer a 14-night cruise aboard the Silver Moon, departing on 29 January 2028, exploring world-class courses in Australia and New Zealand. This journey begins at Tasmania Golf Club, encompassing Otago Golf Club and Royal Wellington, before tackling the well-known cliffside courses of Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs.
Bert Hernandez, President of Silversea, emphasised the company's commitment to delivering unique experiences, stating that the partnership with PerryGolf extends their high standards to golf by removing barriers between guests and the experiences they value most.
