The Six Kings Slam tournament in Saudi Arabia has been postponed until December, days after a deadly bombing of Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport by Houthi rebels.
The six-player, $6m exhibition was scheduled to take place in Riyadh next week and was due to involve Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev. It has now been pushed back to December 27 due to "logistical reasons".
The Six Kings Slam is currently the only major men's tennis event to take place in Saudi Arabia, but that could change by as early as 2028 with the introduction of a new ATP Masters 100 tournament following the Australian Open.
Riyadh hosted the year-end WTA Finals in 2024 and 2025, but the third year of the agreement was postponed due to safety concerns and this season's Finals will instead take place at Indian Wells in November.
Jannik Sinner, who has confirmed that he will miss the rest of the 2026 season due to a knee injury, is a two-time Six Kings Slam champion and defeated Alcaraz in last year's final to win the $6m overall prize.
Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi group have struck Saudi airports in recent days, killing at least 14 people in the strike on Riyadh's King Khalid International airport on Saturday. The conflict in the Middle East has led to uncertainty over several other sporting events, including the final races of the F1 season due to take place in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
