Soundgarden's final album is currently being mixed, with drummer Matt Cameron confirming the news. The album is set to feature eight tracks with the vocals of late frontman Chris Cornell, who passed away in 2017.

Cameron discussed the progress on the Let There Be Talk podcast, stating that the band is focused on getting the album mixed and "over the finish line." He acknowledged that the process has been lengthy and that a release date is not yet set.

The band had been working on new material with Cornell before his death. In 2023, reports indicated that a legal dispute with Cornell's estate over unreleased songs had been resolved. By late 2025, Soundgarden stated they were "pretty close" to completing the album.
