Spider-Man: Brand New Day filmed in Glasgow and Surrey

The latest Spider-Man film used Glasgow, Surrey and Basingstoke locations to stand in for New York City, with soundstage work at Pinewood Studios.

  • Filming took place in Glasgow in summer 2025, with the city doubling for New York City.
  • Scenes were also shot at Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey and at Fanum House in Basingstoke.
  • Soundstage work was completed at Pinewood Studios in England.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the latest film in the franchise starring Tom Holland, used several UK locations to stand in for New York City, according to Condé Nast Traveller.

Much of the filming took place in Glasgow in summer 2025, where Tom Holland and other cast and crew were spotted. The city was dressed and combined with soundstage work to resemble Manhattan. After the official trailer was released in March 2026, the Facebook account Stepping Through Film matched stills from the trailer against Glaswegian backdrops.

Soundstage work was carried out at Pinewood Studios in England. In August 2025, Elle reported that Holland was seen filming at Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey, with Zendaya visiting him on set. In October 2025, the BBC reported that filming also took place at Fanum House in Basingstoke, following Holland's break from acting after a concussion during filming in Watford.

What this means for you: If you are in Glasgow, Surrey or Basingstoke, you may recognise local landmarks in the film when it is released.
