Spiritbox has unveiled their new single, 'Mourning', marking their first release since their second studio album, 'Tsunami Sea', came out last year. The track is described as more subdued and melodic than previous material, featuring guitar riffs.
The band is preparing for their largest UK headline tour to date, which is scheduled to commence later this week. The tour will begin in Glasgow on September 12, with further dates in Nottingham, Manchester, and Cardiff, before concluding in London on September 19.
Last year, Spiritbox's album 'Tsunami Sea' received a four-star review from NME, which praised it as "awe-inspiring modern metal" and noted the band's continued efforts to expand the boundaries of metalcore. The group also performed 'Soft Spine' from the album at the 2026 Grammys, where they received their third nomination for Best Metal Performance.
Additionally, frontwoman Courtney LaPlante recently collaborated with Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon and producer Grabbitz on a new Valorant anthem, 'If The Sun Burns Out Tonight'. This anthem is set for release later in 2026, coinciding with the Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals, which will run from September 24 to October 18. Spiritbox is also scheduled to support Metallica at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena on November 21.
