Spotify partners with Reading & Leeds 2026 for personalised artist discovery

Reading & Leeds 2026 has teamed up with Spotify to launch a new in-app feature that helps festival-goers discover artists on the line-up based on their listening habits.

  • The new Spotify feature analyses user listening data to recommend five artists from the festival line-up.
  • A percentage indicates how closely a user's music taste aligns with acts on the wider 2026 bill.
  • The feature is available from today, 11 August, until the festival weekend.

Reading & Leeds 2026 has partnered with Spotify to introduce a new in-app experience designed to help fans discover artists performing at the festival. The feature, launched today, 11 August, analyses users' listening data to identify five artists on the line-up that align with their musical tastes.

Users will also see a percentage indicating how closely their music preferences match acts on the broader 2026 bill. Spotify will then create a personalised playlist, allowing attendees to explore music from recommended artists before the festival begins.

Lucy Edwards, Co-Head of Marketing for Spotify UK and Ireland, stated that the aim is to offer fans a new way to discover artists and make the festival line-up feel more personal. This initiative is the first part of a wider partnership between Spotify and Reading & Leeds, with future projects expected to include an official playlist and on-site content.

This year's festival, taking place from 27 to 30 August at Little John's Farm in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds, will feature headline acts such as Florence + The Machine, Charli XCX, Fontaines D.C., Dave, RAYE, and Chase & Status. The Leeds event will also host music on Thursday for the first time, with Kasabian headlining.

What this means for you: If you are attending Reading & Leeds 2026, you can use the new Spotify in-app feature to discover artists on the line-up that match your listening habits.
