The new survival slasher film, 'River', has premiered at the Toronto film festival. The film, directed by Joshua Giuliano, is described as a horror offering with flashes of artful direction but familiar writing.
The plot centres on two sisters and a brother who come together to scatter their father's ashes on a river. Jane Levy and Max Mattern portray the younger sister and brother, while Jessica Rothe plays their older, somewhat estranged sister.
Levy and Rothe, both recognised for their work in horror, are noted for their performances in the film. 'River' is scheduled to be available on the streaming service Shudder at a later date.
