Swansea City is poised to finalise the season-long loan acquisition of Manchester City's Jeremy Monga. The 17-year-old winger is expected to undergo a medical in Swansea ahead of completing the switch before Tuesday's 23:00 BST transfer deadline.
In a related move, Finland international Leo Walta is set to depart Swansea to join Major League Soccer side Los Angeles on loan. Walta was not included in Swansea's squad for their recent 3-0 victory at Derby County.
Monga, a product of Leicester City's academy, made his senior debut for the Foxes at 15 during the 2024-25 campaign. He featured 30 times for Leicester in the Championship last season before signing a five-year deal with Manchester City earlier this summer. City's director of football, Hugo Viana, described Monga as an "exciting player" who has "already made huge strides in his young career."
Walta initially joined Swansea on loan from Swedish club Sirius in February, a move that was made permanent this summer. The 23-year-old made 10 league appearances for Swansea in the latter part of the 2025-26 season, scoring once.
