Letting agents who use the Alto property software platform can now manage custodial tenancy deposit protection directly within the system. This new integration with Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) is available across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
The development allows agents to use a single workflow for deposit management across different UK jurisdictions, which may be particularly beneficial for multi-branch agencies. The integration is accessible via the Alto Marketplace and connects deposit protection with existing property management software.
The aim of this move is to reduce the administrative tasks involved in registering and managing deposits. It could also help agencies lower compliance risks by streamlining information transfer between systems. Stu Pick, director of partnerships at Alto, stated that the integration removes another manual process for agents, while Neil Peers, chief operating officer at TDS Group, noted that agents had requested this connection.
