A teaser clip of a Kansas City restaurant scene was posted to Instagram by Apple TV+, and cast and crew have been observed filming at various sites across the city.
Key filming locations include the Country Club Plaza, a historical downtown retail area known for its Spanish-inspired architecture. Jason Sudeikis, a Kansas City native who plays Ted Lasso, was seen wearing branding for the Kansas City Current team during filming at The Plaza. The CPKC Stadium, home to the Kansas City Current, also served as a filming location, with Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, spotted there.
Other featured locations include the Main Street branch of Gates Bar-B-Q, famed for its signature sauce and 'burnt ends', and the historic 18th & Vine District. The crew spent a day filming at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum within this district.
