Stars Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple are returning for the fourth season of the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, which premieres today, 5 August 2026. Both actresses, who appeared in the first three seasons, reportedly wondered if they would be asked back for the new instalment.
Waddingham, who plays Rebecca, and Temple, who plays Keeley Jones, confirmed their return to The Hollywood Reporter. The new season will follow Jason Sudeikis's Ted as he coaches AFC Richmond's women's soccer team.
The surprise fourth season was announced in March 2025, following the show's original conclusion in 2023. Waddingham and Temple will reunite with Sudeikis, Jeremy Swift, and Brett Goldstein, alongside new cast members including Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsay, Abbie Hern, Jude Mack, Aisling Sharkey, and Rex Hayes.
Due to the new premise, many actors who portrayed the male soccer team will not return. Sudeikis reportedly made "very difficult" phone calls to explain their absence, stating he "didn't want them to hear it on the internet."
