A teenager from Nottinghamshire has become a full-time Elvis Presley impersonator after experiencing bullying for his love of the music icon. Lewis Goddard, 18, from Kirkby-in-Ashfield, discovered Elvis in 2022 and began practising his moves and style.
Classmates at his secondary school mocked him, causing him to stay home out of fear. When he moved to college, the bullying continued, but he decided to stop attending college to dedicate himself to performing as Elvis.
Mr Goddard now performs regularly at care homes, pubs, and bars. Last weekend, he performed to an estimated crowd of 5,000 people at the Ashfield Show. He was also a finalist at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival in 2025 and is set to return this year to compete and headline.
