A panel from TMS has identified ten of the most famous scandals in the sport, inviting the public to order them by their perceived magnitude. The results of this fan vote are set to be revealed on the TMS podcast.
Among the controversies highlighted are 'Bodyline' from the 1932-33 Ashes tour, the 1968 D'Oliveira Affair, and the 1975 Headingley pitch vandalism incident. Other notable events include World Series Cricket in the mid-1970s, the clash between Mike Gatting and umpire Shakoor Rana in 1987, and Michael Atherton's 'dirt in the pocket' incident in the mid-1990s. The list also features the actions of former South Africa captain Hansie Cronje.
