  • The Darkness will perform a 'Crock Of Hits' show at London's Moth Club on September 17.
  • Presale tickets for the show begin on September 8, with general sale on September 10.
  • Moth Club's future is at risk due to two planning applications for flats, which have received over 27,000 objections.

The Darkness have announced a surprise intimate performance at London's Moth Club on September 17. The show, dubbed "Crock Of Hits," will precede the band's larger UK arena tour, which is scheduled to commence in December in support of their 2025 album 'Dreams On Toast'.

Tickets for the Moth Club gig will be available via presale starting at 10am on Tuesday, September 8, followed by a general sale on Thursday, September 10.

The announcement comes as Moth Club continues its fight for survival. The independent venue's future has been jeopardised by two separate planning applications for flats on Morning Lane, adjacent to the club. These applications, submitted to Hackney Council, had received over 27,000 emails of objection by December 2025. The Music Venue Trust has stated that the loss of Moth Club would pose an "existential threat" to grassroots venues.

Why this matters: The potential closure of Moth Club, a legendary independent venue, could have significant implications for grassroots music venues, according to the Music Venue Trust.
