The second season of Guy Ritchie's Netflix series, The Gentlemen, has expanded its filming locations beyond English country estates to include Italy. Key locations for the new season feature The Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire and Lake Maggiore in Italy.
The Badminton Estate, the real-life home of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort, served as the exterior for the fictional Halstead Manor. Other scenes for the manor's exterior and interior were filmed at Loseley Park in Surrey. Guy Ritchie's own Ashcombe Estate in Wiltshire was also used for a shooting party scene in the first episode.
The series' narrative in Season 2 sees characters Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass attempting to expand their operation internationally, leading them to engage with the Mafia in Italy. Director Guy Ritchie stated that Italy's beauty, culture, history, and traditions fit perfectly into the show, making it an obvious choice for expanding the series' canvas.
Other UK locations included Swakeleys House in Ickenham, which was used for multiple settings such as a rehab centre and a prison interior. The Adelphi Building in London was transformed into an auction house for a scene involving a Botticelli painting.
