Rock bands The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Psychedelic Furs have announced a co-headline UK tour scheduled for January 2027. The tour will feature eight dates across the country.
The series of shows is set to begin at Leeds O2 Academy on January 19, 2027, and will conclude at London British Airways ARC on January 29, 2027. Other stops include Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, and Brighton.
Tickets for the tour will go on general sale this Friday, September 25, at 10am BST. A pre-sale will also be held from 10am BST tomorrow.
This upcoming tour follows a co-headline tour of North America in 2024 for both bands. The Psychedelic Furs had to cancel some US dates this summer due to a “serious medical issue” within the band, but are still scheduled to perform at the Darker Waves Festival in California on November 14.
In other news, The Jesus And Mary Chain guitarist William Reid recently stated that he believes Eddie Van Halen “ruined rock guitar,” calling him one of “the worst guitar players in the world.” The Scottish group released their latest studio album, ‘Glasgow Eyes’, in March 2024. The Psychedelic Furs' song ‘Pretty In Pink’ was featured in the opening episode of the final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
