Three men have been charged after West Yorkshire Police seized what is believed to be the UK's second-largest haul of ketamine. Police said 500kg of the drug, with an estimated value of £10m, was found at a property on Rose Avenue in Upton, Pontefract.
The West Yorkshire operation, led by the Regional Organised Crime Unit, uncovered 20 black bin bags containing the drug. The largest ketamine find in the UK, valued at an estimated £17m, was discovered in Merseyside in 2025.
Curtis Binns, 32, and Paul Turner, 40, both from Upton, along with Christopher Willis, 42, from Wolverhampton, have been charged with drugs offences. Mr Binns faces charges of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply and money laundering. Mr Turner has been charged with possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, while Mr Willis has been charged with supplying a Class B drug.
The three men are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court later today.
