Former BBC Radio 1 and Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood has been charged with two further sexual offences, according to the Metropolitan Police. The new charges relate to an alleged indecent assault against a teenage girl, aged 16 to 17, in Hammersmith and Fulham in 1991, and the alleged sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman in Wandsworth in 2004.
These charges are in addition to 15 charges brought against the 68-year-old in October 2025, which include four counts of rape. Westwood now faces a total of 17 charges involving nine women. He has previously denied multiple sex offences and pleaded not guilty to the earlier charges in December 2025.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy of the Metropolitan Police Service stated that the women who have made reports have placed their trust in the police, who remain committed to providing support. Independent support is also available via Rape Crisis.
