Tottenham Hotspur's chief revenue officer, Ryan Norys, is set to leave the Premier League club after four years to take up the role of chief commercial officer at MotoGP. Norys, who previously worked with Serie A side Roma and Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers, will join the motorbike series, which is now owned by Formula 1 owners Liberty Media.
Norys's exit continues a series of senior departures from Tottenham Hotspur, including co-owner and former executive chairman Daniel Levy and former executive director Donna-Maria Cullen. The club's chief football officer, Scott Munn, also departed after a restructuring.
Reflecting on his time at the club, Norys stated, "Commercial revenue has grown 51 per cent during my time at the club, an achievement that belongs to the talented people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside, both past and present." His move comes as Tottenham Hotspur faces commercial challenges, with front-of-shirt sponsor AIA reportedly moving to the training kit and reports of South Korean brand Sidiz activating an early termination clause.
Norys will join MotoGP amid a significant hiring spree, which has seen Carlos Ezpeleta become deputy chief executive. Other new appointments include Sameer Pabari as chief media officer, Louise Young as chief operating officer, and Denitza Batchvarova as chief strategy officer.
