Tottenham are currently in talks with Manchester City regarding a deal to sign forward Omar Marmoush. While discussions are progressing, no agreement has been reached between the clubs.
If signed, the Egypt international could become the latest addition to Roberto De Zerbi's squad. Tottenham's summer spending is set to exceed £300m, having already spent £229.5m on Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali, and Mateus Fernandes. On Friday, the club also announced a £75m deal to sign Manchester City winger Savinho.
Marmoush joined Manchester City in January 2025 for £59m after scoring 20 goals and providing 13 assists in 26 games for Eintracht Frankfurt. He has since scored 16 goals in 62 appearances across all competitions for City. His Premier League involvement decreased in the 2025-26 season, where he started eight league games and scored three goals with three assists.
Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha suggested that Marmoush's skillset, including his ability to run in behind defences and link play, could be a significant asset for Spurs. Opta's Premier League numbers from last season indicate Marmoush averaged more progressive carries, shots, chances created, successful take-ons, and touches in the opposition penalty area per 90 minutes than current Spurs forwards Dominic Solanke and Richarlison.
