Transport for London has enlisted renowned artist Tracey Emin to spearhead a major awareness campaign targeting support for passengers with hidden disabilities across the capital's transport network.
The initiative features public art installations and digital advertisements throughout TfL services, designed to educate commuters about supporting fellow passengers with conditions including autism, dementia, and chronic pain—disabilities that are often invisible but significantly impact daily travel.
The campaign combines art installations, digital messaging, and social media content encouraging greater consideration from commuters towards passengers whose disabilities may not be immediately apparent.
TfL Commissioner Andy Byford said: "This campaign is a vital step in making our transport network more inclusive and accessible for everyone. We're proud to be working with Tracey Emin to raise awareness about the importance of supporting passengers with hidden disabilities."
Emin added: "I'm delighted to be working with TfL on this campaign. It's essential that we create a more compassionate and understanding society, and this initiative is a great step in the right direction."
The campaign marks a significant push towards greater inclusivity across London's transport system, where millions of daily journeys include passengers managing invisible conditions that can make travel challenging.
