A trespasser was stopped at the Malibu home of former US Vice-President Kamala Harris in California on Friday night, law enforcement officials and a spokesperson for Ms Harris have confirmed. Neither Ms Harris nor her husband, Doug Emhoff, were at the residence during the incident.
According to Harris spokesperson Eduardo Negrón, security personnel intercepted an individual who illegally entered the property before they reached the home. Los Angeles county sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the home around 10:30pm that Friday, after private security had already stopped the individual. The individual was asked to leave, and no arrests were made.
Ms Harris acquired the home in the Point Dume area of Malibu in May for $8.1 million.
