Republic of Ireland striker Troy Parrott is reportedly on the brink of moving from AZ Alkmaar to Spanish club Real Betis. Talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage for a deal valued at 20m euros, equivalent to £17.1m.
An agreement between the Dutch club Alkmaar and Spain's Betis is understood to be close. West Ham had previously been linked with the 24-year-old forward.
Parrott joined Alkmaar in July 2024 from Tottenham. He scored 16 goals in 28 games during the last Dutch league season, despite a knee ligament injury that kept him out of action for a period.
Real Betis finished fifth in La Liga in the 2025-26 season, securing qualification for the Champions League.
