South Yorkshire Police have arrested two people on suspicion of murder after a man was found shot dead in Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield. The man, who has not yet been identified, was discovered by a member of the public at approximately 18:46 BST on Wednesday.
A post-mortem examination revealed the man died from a gunshot wound, police confirmed. A 34-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were arrested in Manchester on Thursday and remain in police custody.
Det Ch Insp Andy Knowles stated that the investigation is in its early stages. He urged anyone with information to contact the police.
