Two men arrested in Kent on suspicion of modern day slavery offences

Dorset Police have arrested two men in Gillingham, Kent, on suspicion of modern day slavery and money laundering offences.

  • A 20-year-old from Sussex and a 22-year-old from Buckinghamshire were arrested.

  • Three other men were arrested for immigration offences during the operation.

Two men have been arrested in Kent on suspicion of modern day slavery and money laundering offences. Dorset Police confirmed the arrests of a 20-year-old from Sussex and a 22-year-old from Buckinghamshire.

Officers made the arrests after raiding a business premises in Gillingham. The operation also led to the arrest of three further men for immigration offences.

Dorset Police stated the raid followed intelligence from the community and detailed enquiries. PC Bradley Gibbs from North Dorset police said the force would continue to safeguard vulnerable individuals and take action against reported criminality.
